Tips for Getting a Teaching Job in China
So you heard there are many teaching opportunities in China for native English speakers. You are an experienced teacher, so you think that this is a great opportunity for you to travel and work at the same time. The internet is the best place to start your search for a teaching job in China, and it is also online that you will learn about Birmy International English School.
How to Approach Your Job Search
When it comes to searching for a teaching job in China, the first thing you need to do is decide where you want to work and what school type you are interested in teaching. In general, universities and public schools hire foreign teachers on 10 month contracts, which usually start in August. If you want to work for a government school, make sure that your application reaches their offices at least 2 weeks after the commencement of the spring semester. Your application may not be considered if it reaches them later than April.
There are many private English schools you may apply to as well, such as Birmy International English academy. There usually are plenty of job opportunities in these institutions because their adult and corporate training programs are in-demand. In terms of the class schedules in private language schools, they normally hold classes all year round. This is because they have many adult students who are either enrolled in college or employed in companies.
You may send your application to the head office for Birmy School review where your credentials are to be assessed and inspected. They will then determine which group or groups of students you should handle based on your experience and other qualifications.
